Become A Tournament Host
If you want to become a Host (Tourney Director) with our league,
send us your application
The link for the application can be found
below this introduction text.
Before you click and submit, we want to introduce you our
league specific requirements for tourney hosts.
We ask you to read and evaluate them carefully.
Hosting is, and should
be fun for everyone. For you the host,
but far more also for the players.
To ensure that, we have a few requests for all our Hosts.
1. Minimum Age 18 yrs.
To become a Host of LotsaHolics, you need to be at least 18yrs of age.
Our league is hosted in rooms for 30+ yrs old members, and with that
we need to make sure, that all our hosts are adult.
2. Technical requirements.
As a tourney host you should be somewhat computer savvy and able
to
understand, handle and use a few simple small tools.
You also should have no problem
with the use of online forms, since
the tourney set up is very much of a
creation through such forms.
You should also be able to handle up to 4 different Browser windows.
You need to have Yahoo Messenger for communicating with the other
TD's and Admin's.
3. Availability.
We ask all our Tournament Directors to host at least 5 tournaments
during
every week. Of course, we are thrilled and happy if you want
to host more. There are no limits about as much tourneys you want to host.
But to keep
an ongoing flow of tournaments on the calendar,
our Hosts will run tourneys on at least three different days per week.
4. Team Work.
All our TDs are team players. Joining our team means, you have to
be communicative, responsive, attentive and able to work as a team.
5. Membership.
We ask new TD applicants to be a member with our leauge for at least
one month, and to have an active player record on our league.
Before you apply for a TD position, you should completely understand
the player side of a league, and the handling of the tournament pages.
6. Experience.
If you have been a TD before, or if you are currently in an active
TD Position, please contact any Admin and talk to them about
your application first, to evaluate the steps necessary.
We usually ask for a 30 days active participation in our league,
to get to know us, and whether you like our league and staff.
7. Follow Up.
If you apply for becoming a Tourney Director, we ask you to follow up
on your
request, and help us to start to train you as quick as possible.
The TD Training
should start in a matter of a few days, not weeks.
If you did not follow up,
and your active hosting didn't start within 20 days
after
your application has been
accepted, you will have to be removed
from
the TD position.
